Knitting things, sometimes finishing them
So I have begun to master the art of finishing projects. I set myself the task to finish two projects that had been languishing along last month, and surprise! I finished them. (I am pretty surprised actually. ) The Penelope Shroud/Albatross about my neck Afgan is finally done, after 3+ years, completed at 1 am on Friday January 28, washed that day and given to the lucky guy that evening (10pm?). Some ends ought to be woven in and it is a few rows short of my ultimate goal but it is currently gracing a bed several hours away from me and I will do no more work to it… At least until it has moved to somewhere closer to me, so maybe this summer. In the giddiness of finishing it, I forgot to take a picture of it, so that must wait.
The second must-finish project was my stash vest: a patternless monstrosity of bright green blue and red stripes. It turned out surprisingly well. Now I am onto several other things, a sad sock whose brother has been an only child far too long, a sweater for a friend, and other things. I guess the sock is on the “finish this month” schedule, but I’m not sure if anything else is. Guess one project this month is acceptable, since Feb is such a short month.
